Howard Prairie Marina Project

In May of 2024, Jackson County Parks completed construction a $5.6 million dollar marina, which replaced the old wooden dock marina that was at the end of its useful life. The marina was completed with grant assistance from the Oregon State Marine Board, the Bureau of Reclamation and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. The new marina is state-of-the-art, and one of the finest in inland marinas in Oregon.  Pilings were placed in December 2021, with the main frame dock sections installed in May of 2023, with the dock fingers installed in May of 2024.  The marina is located in much deeper water than the old marina which will provide for a much longer boating season during years the lake doesn't fill.  For additional information on design and location of the new marina; click here.
