Howard Prairie Marina Project

Jackson County Parks is in the process of constructing a $5.6 million dollar marina, set to replace the old failing marina that is at the end of its useful life.  This will be a state-of-the-art marina, one of the finest in Oregon when completed.  Pilings were placed in December 2021, with the main frame dock sections scheduled to be installed by the end of May 2023.  Dock fingers, which will provide the moorage slips will be installed at a later date.  The marina is being placed in much deeper water than the old marina, which will provide for a much longer boating season during years the lake doesn't fill.  Funding has been secured, and the project is on schedule for completion.  For additional information on layout and design of the new marina; click here.
