RYC Member Sail a Sunfish Day

Join us for a fun afternoon at the lake.

Sunfish Orientation (rigging practice demonstration) at 11:00am with sailing to follow.  This event is for all members, with a special invite to our July sailing class participants. The RYC rescue boat will be on the water which will allow our class participants to sail a Sunfish solo if desired and receive coaching, along with safety assistance if needed.  Potluck to follow around 4:30.

11:00 am - Meet at RYC Shed. Sunfish Orientation, i.e., rigging practice demonstration to follow shortly thereafter.

We will place all 3 boats in the water and any member who wishes to sail one may take a turn.

Possibility that capsize drills can be practiced for those who wish to give that a try, learning how to right a capsized Sunfish. Rescue boat is available to assist if needed.

Approximately 4:30 pm - Potluck BBQ at the shed.  Please bring a side dish to share, your beverage of choice and your entree for the BBQ.

All 3 Sunfish are reserved for this event and will not be available for member checkout, however you are more than welcome to participate.
