RYC is a group of fun loving sailors dedicated to the fantastic sport of sailing.  We welcome new members of all ages and sailing abilities to join in our racing, cruising and social events throughout the year.  ASA sailing classes are available with our member instructors.

Our traditional home has been Howard Prairie Lake in the southern Cascades.  However, during these dry years we have moved to the deeper waters of Lost Creek Lake and keeping the sailing tradition alive.

Come sail with us.

This is the club's annual free sail class.  It is a unique opportunity for community members interested in getting their first sailing experience to learn some basics and get out on the water.  All that is required is some suncreen, appropriate footwear and a sense of adventure.  The class will be held at Lost Creek Lake at 1:00PM.  There will be about 2 hours of dryland learning and then about 2 hours on the water (weather permitting).

Date: May 7

Time: 1:00 - 5:00 PM.

Space on the sailboats is limited so please contact us if you are interested with an email to sailclass@rogueyachtclub.org

If you know of someone who might be interested, forward this informaiton to them or share the Free Sail Class event on Facebook

Spring racing is here!  Each Wednesday afternoon around 5:00 we get together to do some short course racing.  There are some new Lasers in the club and we hope to see them all on the water. Here's a little video from a couple year ago racing http://youtu.be/dCx37NQYAGA.  Find that sweet laser on Craigslist and upgrade your hump day for a full quarter of the year!  Racing can be condition dependent so contact Jay Harland to get an invite to the group email to get updates on conditions for each week.
