1985 Hunter 23 foot sailboat & Trailer: This boat and trailer are in good condition and ready for use. It’s a nice boat for day sailing or weekends. I’ve kept it dry sailed at Howard Prairie Lake in the summers and stored indoors in the winter. The cockpit is good sized and very comfortable for four adults and tight for six. I bought them in the summer of 2008 and have been upgrading and replacing old parts since.
In 2008 I installed new: main & jib sheets, halyards, blocks, anchor rode, dock lines, 12 volt deep-cycle battery and case, fenders, boom-vang, motor mount, trailer guides and tie-downs and I built a single-handed mast raising system. One person can raise its mast.
In 2009 I: recovered all cushions after adding 1.5” of memory-foam to existing foam, added a new bimini, added a new roller-furler for the jib, had the sails re-conditioned, replaced all the life-lines, replaced the tiller, installed a tiller-extension, and installed a tiller-tamer.
In 2010, I replaced and/or sanded, varnished, and re-set all external and some internal teak and I installed a new depth gauge
The boat and trailer can be towed with most any mid-size SUV or pick-up. The galvanized trailer is also in good condition and ready to go anywhere. The kicker motor quit recently and it will cost too much to repair. I’m looking for a used, long-shaft, 5 to 9 HP replacement motor. The sale price of the boat will increase to reflect that expense after it’s installed.

Thistle for sale #2534
This is a great fiberglass Thistle, it was raced in the yacht club races in 2008.
I bought it for $2500 in Portland in 2008 with brand new bottom paint, and put about $2000 into new sails, all new rigging and lines and upgraded mast and boom (black).
This boat is ready to race and needs no work done. Just some tuning. It was registered in the Thistle class in 2008 at the Howard Prarie Thistle West Coast Championships and placed 10th (crewed by novices).
I have 2 new babies and just don't have time for it anymore.
Looking to get $3000 obo. Boat is available to view in Medford. I can take pictures upon request.
